Creating a cohesive kitchen and family room in Greenside, near Gateshead
I was contacted by Kay and Simon as they needed help finishing off the kitchen and family room in their home. They needed support particularly with wall finishes, furniture, and accessories.
Here is a look at how we worked together to complete the space.
Understanding the Brief
I worked closely with Kay and Simon to understand what they liked, what they didn’t, and their budget for the project.
Using this information, I created and presented a mood board outlining the direction for the room. Once Kay and Simon signed off on the design, I arranged for the space to be redecorated.
Pulling the Room Together
The kitchen was new and featured a bold green splashback. To make the entire room feel cohesive, I brought that same green tone into the soft furnishings throughout the rest of the space, pulling the whole area together.
Sourcing and Styling
Once the decorating was complete, I sourced and ordered all the pieces of furniture and accessories. I then styled the whole room to bring the final design to life.
The Finished Space
